You now are familiar with the rules, and think about taking the responsibility for airworthiness management ? It is not out of reach: it needs good discipline and good tools.

Among them, the Kardex, as a support to follow all the maintenance operations and remaining time / days before each operation is due, is unavoidable. Having a good Kardex is mandatory to insure proper aircraft airworthiness management. It will also show your inspector, during Airworthiness Renewal Certificate (ARC), your seriousness and good organization.

In case you still work with CAMO or CAO shop for Airworthiness, providing a Kardex for your aircraft can also be useful, because they will save a lot of time, having a good basis to work on.

Considering a Cessna 182S, 182T or T182T, you will be monitoring at least (according to AMM) 50 operations, each one having its own calendar and / or flight time interval. Automation is needed to avoid messing up.

This is where I can help, as I have now worked out a very efficient and accurate dynamic Kardex, based on the free Google Spreadsheet online application.

It is a clever spreadsheet, which knows:

• the last time each operation was applied
• the intervals applicable for each operation
• the up-to-date aircraft total time and date of the day

With all those informations, it will calculate the remaining flight hours and / or days before the next limit. A color code (green / yellow / red) allows you to identify at a glance, the operations that are OK, those that are near the limit, and those that have busted the limit.

• Updated to follow your personal Aircraft Maintenance Programme (AMP): 399,-€ (up to 20 alterations)

The price includes the long (150 entries) list of AD & SB related to Cessna 182 S/T and a digital log book where you will report all the flights. The log book will calculate the total flight time of the aircraft, and will be connected to the Kardex.

The price will not include the work needed to teach the Kardex, for each operation, the last maintenance performed on your aircraft.
